I. Product Line: Three Series Covering Diverse Application Scenarios

Our laser ceilometers consist of three product series, each with distinct positioning to meet different application requirements:

  • SYL Series: Focused on standard-range and industrial-grade monitoring, the representative model is SLY-905-12k. It offers a detection range of 30m to 12,000m with a laser wavelength of 905nm, fulfilling basic atmospheric parameter monitoring needs in industrial settings.

  • SYZ Series: Specialized in long-distance high-precision measurement and outdoor unattended operation, the representative models are SYZ-1550-8K and SYZ-1550-15K. With a maximum detection range of 15km, it adopts an eye-safe 1550nm wavelength and achieves IP66 protection level, suitable for long-term operation in harsh outdoor environments.

  • SJH Series: Centered on portability, the representative models include SJH-C04, SJH-C06, and SJH-C08. Weighing ≤2.5kg, it supports handheld temporary observation or long-term continuous observation with a tripod. Equipped with a built-in lithium battery, it flexibly adapts to measurement scenarios without fixed stations.


II. Core Commonality: Working Principle and Key Functions

Working Principle: All series are based on the principle of Mie scattering. A laser emission module emits pulsed laser, and a receiving module captures backscattered signals from clouds and the atmosphere. Through signal processing, analog-to-digital conversion (ADC chip), and data inversion processes, key atmospheric parameters such as cloud height and cloud thickness are accurately obtained.

Key Functions:

  • Basic Measurement: Capable of precise measurement of core atmospheric parameters including cloud base height, cloud thickness, aerosol concentration, and vertical visibility.

  • Extended Functions: Some models support solid target ranging, elevation angle, and azimuth angle measurement. All series are equipped with a self-check function to ensure the reliability of detection data.

  • Data Processing: Features real-time display of measurement results. The SJH series can continuously store over 8,640 data points, supporting reading and export via computers for convenient later data analysis.

III. Key Technical Parameters (Core Highlights)

Detection Performance:

  • The detection range covers a gradient from 30m to 15km, matching measurement needs at different distances.

  • Excellent measurement accuracy with a ranging error between ±5m and ±15m and a resolution of ≤5m, meeting professional monitoring standards for data precision.

  • Strong responsiveness: The SYL series has a sampling frequency of ≥40MHz, and the SYZ series has a data refresh rate of ≤2Hz, ensuring rapid capture of environmental changes.

Environmental Adaptability:

  • Wide temperature adaptation range, with an operating temperature from -45℃ to 70℃, easily coping with extreme high and low temperature environments.

  • Strong humidity resistance: The SYZ series supports 0%~100%RH environment, and the SJH series supports 0-95%RH (30℃). Some models further enhance moisture-proof performance by optimizing system airtightness and spraying three-proof paint.

  • The highest protection level reaches IP66 (SYZ series), capable of resisting dust, rainwater, and other erosion, supporting long-term stable outdoor operation.

Compatibility:

  • Flexible power supply: Supports AC/DC dual power supply options. Some models are compatible with new energy power supplies such as photovoltaic and fuel cells, adapting to outdoor scenarios without grid coverage.

  • Rich communication interfaces: Equipped with RS232, RS485, and Ethernet (LAN) interfaces with a baud rate of 115,200bps, supporting remote data transmission and system linkage.

IV. Typical Application Scenarios

  • Aviation Field: Provides cloud height data monitoring and real-time vertical visibility monitoring for aircraft takeoff and landing at airports, ensuring flight safety.

  • Meteorological Field: Supports professional work such as meteorological forecast data collection, atmospheric environment data analysis, and cloud precipitation potential detection.

  • General Scenarios: Widely used in cloud observation research, aviation meteorological support, maritime meteorological support, military meteorological support, and environmental monitoring in outdoor unattended areas.
